Harry S. Truman

...Harry S. Truman became President of the United States on April 12, 1945. At its regular meeting on May 4, the Board voted honorary membership in the Club to President Truman and requested Tom L. Evans, a member and close associate of the President, to “hand deliver” a letter to President Truman, advising him of the honorary membership. Although not a part of the minutes, and insert in the minute book, dated June 29, 1945, reported that “President Truman was entertained here today by members of 822 Club (present day President’s Club).”

Dwight D. Eisenhower

...In June of 1945, members of the “711 Club” requested that General Dwight D. Eisenhower be accorded honorary membership. This was voted by the Board on June 15 and at the same meeting General Omar Bradley was approved for honorary membership.

..Ewing Kaufman, Kansas City Royals owner, was a loyal member until his death in 1999. First Lady of Kansas, Linda Richey Graves, became the first female president of the Club in 1990..
